We operate under a strict auditing system that involves triple-checking: stamping approval at the stages of picking, preparation, and final verification. Each employee takes personal responsibility to ensure flawless "safety and peace of mind" in every delivery. Furthermore, we are fully equipped to fulfill our expanding role as a "Primary Care Pharmacy" and to meet the growth of home healthcare, including vehicles for delivering medications to patients' homes and facilities. In addition, we have implemented systems for digitizing past patient information, installed equipment for the sterile preparation of specialized medications, and established isolated facilities for patients waiting due to infectious diseases like influenza or COVID-19.
This mechanism centers around the patient, where various specialists—including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and care managers—collaborate to provide the highest level of medical care and support. Multidisciplinary professional collaboration is crucial, especially in Urayasu, where the population is aging. Our company places a strong emphasis on initiatives that deepen mutual understanding to ensure this collaboration runs smoothly. The role of a pharmacist goes beyond merely "providing medication based on prescriptions" or "checking for unused medicine." By connecting medical institutions, long-term care facilities, and patients' homes, and exchanging specialized information starting from the pharmacy, we can provide more appropriate care to patients. We are also active participants in the "Home Healthcare Support Network" developed by Urayasu City and local clinics.
The Urayasu area has many nursing homes and day care facilities, and Koga Pharmacy is responsible for dispensing prescription medications and providing strict medication management for the patients utilizing these facilities. Furthermore, facility managers highly value our flexible system, which allows us to quickly deliver urgently needed Over-the-Counter (OTC) drugs, supplements, and items like initial cold symptom medication or patches, often on the same day, even for conditions that don't require an immediate doctor's visit. We are continually building a strong track record in the area, receiving requests from new facilities every year. We will continue to strengthen our system to meticulously meet diverse future demands.

In Urayasu City, where the population is gradually aging, the number of visits to private homes is increasing year by year. A Message from the Director
Koga Pharmacy: Our History and Commitment to the Community
Koga Pharmacy traces its origins back to March 1968, when the founder established the store in its current location, Nekozane, Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture, having relocated from Asahi Ward, Yokohama City.
The following year, in March 1969, the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line's Urayasu Station opened. As the only pharmacy near the station at that time, and thanks to the patronage of many customers, we will celebrate our 57th anniversary in 2025.
We are told that when the store first opened, there were very few buildings, even near the station. It was a tranquil scene where you could hear the whistles of boats passing on the nearby Former Edogawa River.
Unlike those early days when it was a family-run business, we are now supported by 17 dedicated employees and are widely patronized as a trusted community pharmacy.
